I am doubtful. But, I have little experience with the Model 15-1 era.

Product Description
This is a true one-of-one revolver — the only known Dan Wesson Model 15 .357 Magnum ever produced with this level of heavy factory engraving. Built around 1972 during the earliest years of Dan Wesson Arms, this revolver features extensive factory engraving that has no known counterpart in the company’s production history. While early Dan Wesson Model 15 revolvers from the 1971–1974 period are already scarce, heavily engraved examples from this era are virtually nonexistent. This revolver stands alone as the only known example to receive this degree of factory engraving.
- Barrel: Heavy barrel with deep, intricate factory scroll engraving covering the barrel, frame, cylinder, and top strap
- Engraving: Extensive, high-quality factory engraving with dense scrollwork and border details — the only known example of its kind from Dan Wesson
- Grips: Premium figured walnut grips with excellent grain and checkering
This Dan Wesson Model 15 is believed to have been a special factory-engraved promotional or display piece from the early 1970s. Because most early Dan Wesson factory records were destroyed, definitive documentation is not available. However, no other Model 15 from this period is known to exist with this level of heavy factory engraving, making it a unique and historically significant example.
As the only known Dan Wesson Model 15 ever made with this heavy factory engraving, this revolver holds exceptional collector value. Its unique status as a heavily engraved early example from the company’s formative years makes it highly desirable among serious collectors. With no other comparable pieces known to exist, this revolver offers outstanding long-term scarcity and historical importance in the Dan Wesson collecting community.
Photos shown are of the exact revolver (Serial 11600).

You would think such a significant piece of DW History would have documentation with it.
That gun has been on the internet and represented as a one of a kind Factory engraved model 15 (not a 15-1, note the large rear sight) ever since I bought my first Dan Wesson over 14 years ago . I am totally surprised it is for sale.
All factory records became property of The BATF after each change in ownership and most of those were before the internet and digital record keeping . Everything known is on paper in a warehouse somewhere at best . Maybe a pile of mold or incinerated by now .

OfflineI think the price is way too high! As I remember Oli Dog bought the engraved pac about 2 years ago and though I do not know what the final price was I figured it was not much over what this single gun is going to go for. I can't remember but I think it had a buy now price with a "make offer" and I think they sold it as "make offer". I think he got a super deal on that PAC I have never seen another full pac for sale that was engraved on gun and 4 barrels. He is the master of good deals. Though I think I'm pretty good at some deals I can't keep up with "Oli Wan dognobi" (Supposed to be an Obi Wan Kenobi joke)
Stan, I think I am getting dementia. I don't remember an engraved pack. I have an 8" VH with the 50% coverage in a plexiglass case. I did see a picture on the internet of a fully engraved pack that sold for over 7,000 .
I am trying to pause my acquisition syndrome . Now I can go look at my stuff and get a thrill looking at stuff I forgot about .

OfflineMay be my mistake. I could have sworn you got that engraved pac. I remember it had a make offer or something about you called them and made a deal off GunBroker. Maybe it was someone else. Someone here on the forum got it I'm pretty sure. Maybe your going to have to go thru some pac's take a look? Does anyone else remember this PAC? It was a full engraved pac barrels and gun! I'm 65 and Dementia runs in the family so maybe I'm thinking of so someone else,, sorry!

Stephen, do you remember this engraved pac coming up for sale? You seem to know how to go back a long way and find items that were for sale. help us please so I'm not doubting my sanity!
rwsem found the thread. it was summer of 2023.
Your sanity is still of semi-sound mind.
I was really worried about my mental state, memories,so I started looking for the engraved pack. I opened several suitcases and couldn't remember two out of three. But it isn't Alzheimer's. I have too many to remember. When I built the gun room addition I did see everything but everything is too many for anybody except Hugelk to remember. He has a photographic memory. I need to spend several or more months doing an inventory. The problem though is my OTHER HOBBY. I have been doing bonsai for 50 years. And I have cuttings disease. Everything I prune I try to root. Then I have to pot and repot ,and prune and water constantly ,an ever growing inventory. I have trees I started from cuttings 48 years ago .
I just don't have time for both hobbies it seems. I am going to have to start a new hobby, selling. The guns don't have to be watered 2 or 3 times a day and repotted and pruned so I may start with my trees.. But I don't know if I can part with my creations. Maybe I can hire some firearms help like I do with my trees and yard. I would have to pay them with guns and parts . I could pay with barrel assemblies, grips or guns. I think some year I have to do that🤔. 🙄
