What is the best way to clean the carbon stains from the yellow cloth. Mine has the stains at both ends were the barrels lie on the cloth.

Spray some resolve spot remover on it and hand wash it with some laundry detergent, let it air dry.ÂÂ

I sprayed mine with spot remover & threw it in the washing machine with some whites, then into the dryer with the heat on semi-warm, so it wouldn't shrink. Worked great.

Every time I buy a Pac the first thing I do is hand the interior velvet to the wife --she is the stainmaster with the kids.
Sometimes it comes out really good--other times they are brutal to remove and I leave them alone.
If it is truly oily/greasy, you can hit it with spray brake cleaner--just test it on the corner of your fabric first.

What holds the fabric in place? I assume its not glue or you couldn't remove it. I've got a pack with the cut foam but no fabric. I'm trying to figure out how to attach new fabric.

Gravity 
 -- Here's how I do it; factory fabric is a little tricky to get looking nice due to it not stretching...
first, pull the foam out and lay it on the kitchen table --lay the fabric gently on top of the foam. Now put the gun in first and nestle it down slightly into the foam allowing the fabric to "flow" with it.
Now straigthen out your fabric to make it look pretty. Next set in the 6" BA and nestle it in a bit--straighten out the fabic...etc... keep doing this till you have everything in place and the fabric all de-wrinkled, smoothed, etc.
Now, take a few straight pins and pin the bottom edges under the foam as best you can. This will keep them out of the way as you drop the entire mess into the case.
Once you get it in the case, work any wrinkles to the edges and push them down the edge of the case with a ruler.

By the way-- if you ar enot using factory velvet, I highly suggest stretch velvet. No mess, no fuss, and it looks great.

Up Date , I used warm water and my liquid laundry soap for my cloths and washed it in the sink, rinsed it out and let it air dry.This removed all stains and I am very happy.                                                                                    I had to do this myself cuz if I asked my wife she would know I got
