3) Dancing With The Stars

I know, very strange choices, all three very entertaining in their own (to me) way'

Especially #3 embarassedwinkbig-grindrooldrooldroolwifewhipping

wow

I knew this was coming, just not this quickly.

I don't know how some of the costumes and many of the dance routines are not against the law.

What can I say? I'm a Male Chauvinist Pig!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

"Outlaw Josey Wales"

"Best Years of Our Lives"

If you like the 'Duke': "The Shootist"

Sorta newer comedy; "Animal House"   "Blazing Saddles"

'Dancing with the Stars', really? wow

Oh, don't get me revved up here, I'll deal with "Dancing With The Stars" first:

There was a time in my life that showing those women in those costumes on TV, with all the gyrating and groping (OK, taking a Time Out right now to get my old age hormones under control) would just not have been possible.

Animal House and Blazing Saddles??? I can't tell you for how long my post New Years Rockin' Eve tradition has been an all night Movie Marathon, always incuding Blazing Saddles, Animal House, Blues Brothers, Airplane, Spaceballs, M*A*S*H ...

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Well, now that you put it 'that' way, maybe I've been missing out. Like Cecil alluded too, I only have control of the remote on Saturdays for college football.

Lets see;  No particular order

Rio Bravo, Pale rider, She wore a yellow ribbon, Outlaw Josey Wales, El Dorado, Winchester 73,  anyone notice a pattern.

Watching "Dancing with the stars" is well, like riding a moped, sure its fun but you don't want your friends to find out.  poke

How about these:  They Went That Away and That Away!   and  It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World.  For comedy they were pretty darn good. We definitely got a few good weekends set up to deal with cabin fever...lol

LB, "you pull them them pistols out real slow, like lasses in winter time"  hehehe.

couple more good'uns   Jeremiah Johnson  and  The Mountain Men.. or somethin little more modern  Legends of The Fall  darn good film but ya gotta watch the Pitt man.

This afternoon was M*A*S*H, a great movie that became an even greater TV series. I still remember rushing home from work to watch "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen", the final episode.

This is a print I have in my office that my cousin give me years ago.  MASH was an awesome show!

As for current shows I watch:

  • Blue Bloods

  • The Blacklist
  • Justified (Final season starts in January)

For old movies here are a few I like:

  • The Cowboys
  • McClintock

So many great movies, and you guys bring up more of them on every post.

Good Morning Vietnam- Great memories on this one, and Robin Williams was possibly one of the funniest guys in history

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I think I was in boot camp or maybe Aberdeen when I heard his first recorded stand up--Reality, What a Concept!  That was some funny stuff back then.

is that the FBI in KY show?

Raylan Givens's character is a US Marshall Service officer in his native area of Harlan County, Kentucky. About all I know of Harlan County was from the old movie 'Thunder Road'. I've lost count of how many times I saw it at Drive In Theatre's in my youth. Which reminds me…somebody done disappeared all the Drive Ins.wow

Seriously, it's a great series.
