Got my carb. rebuild kit today from Summit Racing. Lucky for me they are about

20 miles from here and my local Federated AP picked it up for me !! big-grin

Fuel tank sender should be here tomorrow, cleaning and scraping gaskets till now,

I'm done for tonight. [for 73 Torino 351C 750cfm Holley] Yeah the wheel cleaner &

a scothbrite works better than carb cleaner to get stains off outside !! screwy

I miss the dip tank w/the yellow fluid that stunk your hands up for 2 weeks, IT WORKEDhawk-carb-001.JPGImage Enlarger

Went to Yamahammer and got the cleaner, is better than the bs they call carb.

cleaner at part stores. But it ain't even close to the old school dip cleaner. Last time I

got the REAL stuff was at NAPA about 25 years ago !!! [EPA mad] But it's ready to install,

after I flush line & pump out. Fuel sender was 1/2 price for a Mustang, but pick up tube was too

short, I cut it w/pipe cutter and added a piece of hose. It'll work fine.

Thanks again CF, Dave

BTW where do all these other parts go ??? laughing rofl

For some reason I never really got into photography and have few pics of my cars. Don't have any toys anymore but here are some from the past. This one was the wife's until we split up. I had a red one, both '73's & 318's

1958 Ford Fairlane, bored out 390, 4 speed, can't remember ½ or ¾ cam. The Desoto and Buick were my Dad's.

1959 Ford Fairlane, 292 3 on the column. Pitiful ain't it? My neighbor took this one because of the snow we got in Pensacola that winter!

Yeah, you're probably right that it's not as strong. The last time I used some was probably 25 years ago too, so I'm probably forgetting how strong it really was. At least the Yamaha stuff smells about the same.lol2

Got out on MC today, met up w/some of the crew. Ended up in Roscoe Village, Coshocton,Oh [funny st.sign] All in all I went about 180 miles, nice day !! And we stopped at campground where some other friends were.

Not all HDs [I'm not prejudice], pretty cool Triumph, tricked out and fast, 99 900. It was my buddy Beavs's son's first ride with more than his Dad, he just got his endorsement a few weeks ago. Had 9 bikes, at one time cool occasion

That's a good looking Blazer! I've always loved the looks of that body style. Great looking Road Runner he has, too!

Thought I'd bump this thread back up to the top, since seeing pics of Kurt's Z/28 in another thread and thinking he may not know about it.
