An incredible day in the PA Deer woods on Saturday Dec. 5th. Â Had deer action from sun up until 10 AM when I connected on this 8 point Whitetail. Â He was chasing doe all morning and I had him at 60-100 yards several times but could not get him to stop. Â Then finally he started to feed at 200 yards. I settled in and connected with my Howa 1500 in .270 Win. Â Using Remington 130 grain Core Lokt bullets. Â Hit him where the neck meets the shoulder and he dropped immediately. Â First rifle kill all others have been with the bow or muzzleloader. Â Got a year to practice with the 10" 44 Mag or the 10" .357 Super Mag. Â

That is a nice one! It appears the deer are getting smarter than me, as I have barely gotten a couple glimpses all the first week.
