Nice job. Glad you figured it out. That is a dandy looking Dan.

Nice 'Lil Dan congrats!  You will like shooting that one, and good job on the pic. I use Windows Office Picture Manager to open and resize my pics, its fast, only a few clicks and its done.  It even has 'large web picture' as an option, 640x480.

Scorpio, Thanks for tip on windows resizer. I will try that. I used a temp program found after a google search. Some of the "free" ones looked like a lot of hidden bad stuff could be there

Dave, I dont know if you have opened it up before but the gun really responded to a modified AVE JOE treatment. The parts seem to be a bit more position sensitive than my other  DWs but get them just right and its a fantastic action.

Hey Dave,  I have wanted a lil dan  and a friend was going to sell his on Gunbroker. He has helped me  and made good trades with me in the past. I offered a  22- V6 with target grip, extra barrel assembly, another wood grip, and DW soft case to trade. I had about $575 invested into these items....he can sell them if he wants for $900-$975. So who got the  deal      The cool thing with a good trade is that both parties are happy....  I could not afford to pay the money on GB if Steelworker or DrBanner or anyone else got bidding on it. and I didnt have to pay shipping, FFL, Tax.

Question for you lil' danners - ignoring the barrel length and grip, is the frame size and cylinder diameter smaller or similar to the model 14/15s?  I'm wondering if there is any size advantage for these for carry, specifically IWB.  Thanks!

Nice shooter!

The lil dan is considerably smaller than my 2 1/2in model 14. Mostly because it is downsized overall to a 5 shot 38 special plus P and not 6 shot 357 mag. It really has the perfect size and balance for accuracy and CC IWB......IMHO

I just wish it had nicer grips- HUGELK

Oh boy, Roger. You don't want to see the grips LB made for mine.  OK, maybe you do:

If you like these, maybe you can convince LB to put you on his wait list.

That is not a bad at all you both scored and it kept in the family!   Now on grips, Mike has got the ones I need!   His twins look good.  I came up with an off brand that fit the Lil Dan still in rubber though!

My thought is Wesson finally made a small frame, gun mags compared it to the SW model 60 and one of the colts.   I will have to scan in the report I read on them!   DW has a small, medium, large, then the huge framed Supers!   I wish that they had gone with the plans to make 3 & 4 "barrels plus later the Lil Dan in 357mag, w/ adjustable sights!

These Lil Dans are  hoot and yes 5 shot 38+p packs a handful!

Sweet deal on the trade.  I have only traded a few times but each time it has been a positive experience.  You both did well on that trade.

Hi Roger --

Those grips are both zebra wood. The one on the right is the normal color; the one on the left is dark because LB happened to find a piece of unusually dark zebra wood. Unfortunately he has no more of the dark.

Mike,

All LB grips look so good. I think that a zebra wood with a set of the small silver DW emblems would look sweet. I have a set of them to use.  Ill get to the top of the waiting list eventually
