Maybe I'm not alone & some of you guys had some good ideas that didn't turn out so well...
...for this year's calendar submissions. Out of focus, crappy lighting, camera didn't want to cooperate...yep, I have a few of those.
This was a few graduating barrel length pic ideas I was working on... 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10" DW's. But the hi-rez pics turned out all fuzzy. Should have done it outside.

I was really hoping the hi-rez pics on these would have turned out nice, but the cloudy day (or my photography skills-camera-whatever) ruined the plan. Haven't been back since for a re-do on these. These two were shot at one spot of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains...Utah side.
The .44 10" & both Porkchop 15's with the Oquirrh mountains (west of the Rockies) as a backdrop...

The PMA-B's first range day last March, completely ruined...
Anyway, did you guys save any pics that were bound for the recycle bin?

This last one is from this years submissions and I almost submitted it even though you can see my hand in the shadow because it actually looks pretty good but decided my hand didn't belong in a calendar.

I have so many "bad" ones I wouldn't know where to start-- lighting is always an issue out here... too cloudy, not cloudy enough, no clouds....

Superdan, that 2nd pic is a cool idea. I know what you mean about the 'blinding by the light', I have the same problem frequently when trying to shoot stainless gun pics.

I think all of mine ended up in the recycle bin. I will have to look at the original pics and see if I can find anything bad that got saved.

Here's one of Lil' Dan & an old can of Octane +104 boosterâ¦sorta playing with the idea of the 'ol .38 + Power theme. Yep I know, those old cans don't look like that this these days.
