New to the forum, not new to handguns but this is my first DW. There is a very nice old gentleman in our church that needed to sell this gun to raise funds and I probably overpaid for it to help him out but nevertheless, I would like to find out exactly what I have? Judging by the fixed sights and the holster wear, I think this is a 14-2 service model??? Monson, 325xxx, 4 inch, DW grips look original. Thoughts please.

You do in fact have a 14-2 witch is the service the 15-2 is adjustable sighted and called the target model

Thank you Sir, I appreciate the confirmation. This model will accept 15-2 barrel changes, correct?

Yes and no. The 15-2 Barrel assemblies will fit but it will not shoot to point of aim unless you get a shorter front sight. EWK makes a replacement sight or you can try filing down the 15-2 sight. Problem is th colored insert. You could make it a Patridge style sight.ÂÂ
