Model 15, originally had the 4"barrel and the 8" was the extra.  Barely a turn line, internals were bone dry and not much wear.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Yup, checked the label, 15-2.  It included 2 catalogs, including the original one where they circled the barrel length and the 2nd looks to be from the 8" VH barrel, which has the VCI paper dated 1979 and the catalogs were from 79 and 80.  The sideplate is polished as is the entire gun and the polish is on par with my older S&W 27-2 from the early 70's.  Shoots pretty well, but it had a trigger return issue, so when I got home, I took it all apart, cleaned and lubed the internals and made sure to get the trigger return spring in properly.  No more trigger issues!  The barrel wrench that it came with was all cracked and the inner piece with the lugs on it to unscrew the barrel nut was out of the handle, so I super glued it all and will try it out.  I have an EWK metal wrench, so I may use the orig one more for the allen wrenches.

DW Revolver #3 should be here tomorrow; blued 44 mag, but I will show something pretty cool with the serial numbers when it arrives.  This ones serial # was unknown to me until today and the 44 magnum serial # is one of the reasons I got it.
