Scout728 put me on this gun. A great deal at $1399 free shipping. Only question is it is a Monson gun with Palmer barrels? Possible they used  Monson frame at Palmer? Seems weird it looks to be like new condition and has what appears to be factory Burrow scope almost like a hunter pac. I do not have it in hand yet. Also just figured out I have a screenshot button on my computer and all this time I was posting crappy pics here done with a hand held camera! Screenshot-2023-11-22-2.11.08-AM.pngImage Enlarger

sorry got his name wrong. Scout728 sent me a text guiding me to the Cabela's gun room used guns site. I found the 32-20 and called. I got a recording at the fun room and was giving up. I have missed several really good buys when they post them on guns International. They can be gone with in a hour once the add posts. Lucky for me they had not listed this gun yet! Scout goes way beyond regular combing of sites. Anyway they called me back and I got the 32-20 at a great price I might add! Thanks Scout728 I got my 32-20 This very well may complete my collection for now. Except for some really expensive and rare guns like a 41 Supermag or some other commemoratives I am pretty happy with what I put together in one year. I'm finally going out to shoot a couple of my Dan's on Thanksgiving including the 445 Supermag so looking forward to that! thank's Scout728 for making my Holiday a happy one!!!!

I think I will shoot both my 445-10VH and my 7445-8VHS I thought about shooting the compensated one also but I only have 60 rounds to play with no need to take all three guns out. I'm interested to have one of the Master Dan Wesson experts to chime in this 32-20 and the barrel matching question. Wpold like to see what they think about it!

Early Palmer guns had Monson roll marked frames. That is what you have. They came like that from the factory. As far as finished collecting, don't forget the Rowland 460, 15-2 Gold Series, or the DW 360 among others. Lol.

That is good news! I wonder if the case was from Palmer! I can't afford the other guns you speak of I believe they would be south of 3K. also I have never seen any of those come up for sale. Maybe next year! I'm just happy to have the 32-20 at a great price! I will be interested to see what paperwork is hidden in the envelope or maybe that is a manual. I did not see a manual. Happy there is also a factory tool. I wonder if a 32 magnum tool would have fit. will post again when I get the gun in person and let you all in on what surprises are in store!

I have been looking for some 445 ammo with not much luck.  Does anyone know of availability?

Thanks for the link 605 Dart is pretty expensive.  Scorpio unfortunately, with the small amount of shooting I do, I really do not want to get involved in reloading.  Who knows maybe might have to if availability goes away.  If anyone else knows of 445 ammo availability please let me know.  Thanks in advance to everyone, Happy Thanksgiving!

With these niche, low production calibers one usually has to pay to play. I am going to set up one of my machines for 44Mag then I think just adjusting the dies out some I will be able to do the .445. Will see.....

If you know a friend who reloads 44 mag, they can load 445 with the same dies.

When you get the gun, post up a few more photos, especially of the case.  It looks like one of the blow-molded TravelMaster cases that were used for a period of time at both Monson and Palmer.  I have several of them here but but they do not have the lid braces on each side of the case as shown in your photo.  Charger Fan posted a photo of a TravelMaster case from May 1992 "Handguns for Sport & Defense" Magazine (post #18 in this thread):

https://www.danwessonforum.com/forum/dan-wesson-history/historical-pics-buckles-wrenches-patches/

These are one of my favorite cases - they're smaller footprint than the brown "briefcase" cases that we normally see the Pacs in.

Well now i'm excited!!!! Looking at the pic (can't seem to enlarge it) but first thing I noticed is a half circle by the tool a finger hole so you can get the tool out easy and it's exactly the same as this one I bought. I think I have a factory case! If true what a deal at $1399 it was shipped free also. Would you call this a hunter pac since it has the two barrels with one having what looks like a scope Dan Wesson typically? I an also hopping manual and paperwork is there!

Now i'm really excited! I was looking at the pic you provided and there is a half circle cut out of the foam next to the tool (used to get the tool out easier) that's exactly the same. I believe I got a factory vase here! Can't wait to see if the manual is there!

I’m not aware of anyone else producing 445 ammo so Buffalo bore is prob your only option if you don’t reload.

With todays components prices you could reload it for ~55 cents per round assuming you have brass on hand.

I am quite sure the case is one of the TravelMaster cases, but I can't figure out why it has the 2 lid braces while every other TravelMaster case I have or have seen does not.  I am not sure what you you would call it but the scope was probably a special order option.  The factory typically used Burris scopes and always used Burris mounts when offered in a Field Pack.  When I have time I can take a look in some of my paperwork from that time period.

I asked Eric Wesson. He thinks the gun is a manufacturer rep or gun show gun. He said they could not sell the Monsun guns under the new FFL Wesson firearms so they used the older Monson frames with the Palmer barrels. He said all was a factory set up with a case. Seemed to think it is quite rare being a gun show gun. Will pick in up early next week so weScreenshot-2023-11-26-11.03.32-AM-1.pngImage Enlarger
