I'm a fairly new user here to the forums, but I'm a long time DW owner.

This was the first handgun I have ever owned.  I found it in a pawn/gun shop in either 1987 or 1988, can't really remember exactly.  It came with the VH8 Barrel.  Later on I sent it in to Dan Wesson and had the non fluted cylinder installed and even later installed the Bushnell Trophy  2x6 scope.

Just today, I received my 4" and 6" Extra Heavy barrels from EWK.  These things are massive, I can't wait to try them out at the range.  I need to clean off my loading bench and give my Dillon RL550B some TLC, it's been sitting unused for 15 years.

I'll try take better pictures, but here it is:

Very nice! The unfluted cylinder is a nice touch, did you have it done purely for cosmetics, or were you experiencing an issue with the original cylinder?

Thanks lonwolf!  The cylinder was a cosmetic change.  I had seen a 454 Casull at a local gun show and I fell in love with that style cylinder and thought it would make a nice addition.  I don't remember how much it cost to have done, but I don't remember it being expensive.  It was worth it in my opinion.

I think the unfluted cylinders do look cool, sort of giving a gun that "serious duty" look.cool

Thanks for thecool-pics
