I found this 15-2 in a local pawn shop after moving to a new location. I waited and visited every month for 4 months to see if the thing would sell. On the fifth month (December) I saw a price drop and placed it on layaway that day, picked it up two days ago. Looks fine and cycles good, but I have yet to get to a range to test it out. The one issue is that a prior owner bent the ejector rod and extractor star, so I need a new one of each (Contacted DW through email, have yet to hear back from them, could be because of the weekend).

At first I thought it had a 6 inch barrel, boy was I wrong when I measured it. It still feels comfortable and I'm used to my father Ruger Redhawk with a 7 1/2 inch barrel, so, not much of an issue with a long barrel for me.

Let me stop flapping my gums and gripping you all with suspense and show you some pics I took today.

Welcome to the Forum.

Two thoughts on your ejector/extractor problem:

1) DW lists the extractor assembly as a "factory install", it is part of the timing tuning.

2) If you went through the CZ website, you might possibly never get a reply

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I was afraid of that Steve. I contacted Genny as per this websites FAQ on the matter. If I was to send it off, it would have to go through an FFL and pay the shipping, correct? I'll have to update my message to them and say that the extractor star is fudged.

You do not need a FFL for sending to or receiving from a repair facility. You can ship direct, and a signature will be required for you to receive it upon return.

The star doesn't look that bad!  Not sure if EWK is turning out the rods yet!  though it may be worth while to pull it down and check it closer!

BTW  welcome and thanks for showing your Dan!!!   Nice find!

The star is bent at the threaded tip, gradually stripping the ejector rod threads. The lock up is solid, no issue there. And in that regard, the star is very good. The issue comes from the bend in both the rod and the star.

That is a strange one must have been loose at some point!  The star will be the issue the rods can be found!  Keep us updated!

I wonder if you got a rod wether or not Eric at EWK could chase the

threads on star and get it back together for ya ? All you would have to do

is remove crane and cylinder and send it to him with the new rod.

Just and idea.

Nice find - looks to be in good shape.  Add a few barrels and you have yourself a pack!

Welcome to the forum.  Nice looking 15 you picked up.  On contacting DW, I've only had success contacting them by phone.  I just called a couple of times a day until Parts answered.  Once on the phone, they are very helpful.

Just got some answers, all shipping would be at my expense. The repair is pretty much on a case by case basis but the labor costs starts at $65 an hour plus parts cost (Ejector Rod: $13.00, Extractor Star: $48.95 and any other parts it might need.) and then shipping of about $60 total.

Time for me to really start looking for a job that will get all of this paid and done.
