Recently stumbled on a .blue 38 marked DW. Was listed as an 8-2 with a 6 round cylinder. Not in hand yet, but wondered if I could get some input. Not up on 38s at all because I never figured I would never get one. I am unclear on where these fall in relation to porch chops.
Shroud patina does not look to match frame well, but I have seen that some. Seem off to you all?
And yes I have DWAS....

Yep, that's a Model 8-2 alright, but I don't recall them having 6 chambers.
The difference in frame and shroud patina is because the frame has a little "Barney" (plum) going on and shrouds don't get that.
