Hello, new member here. I recently acquired a .22 with a 6â & 8â barrel to go along with my .357 4â. Iâm curious what to expect with the scoped 8â barrel after finding the right ammo? How tight can the barrel be set? Does going from .006 to .002-.003 make a significant difference? My SW Model 41 will shoot .750 @50yards. Just figured thereâs someone out there that knows. Setting the barrel/cylinder gap tighter than the usual .006 is not likely to increase the accuracy of your DW, but doing so could cause some binding if you're shooting a lot in one session as lead buildup can happen quickly shooting .22s, even the coated ones. I probably wouldn't go tighter than .004 or perhaps .003, but the great thing about the DW is you can go ahead and try it closer and see what happens. Let us know how she shoots!!Â

Yes, reducing the cylinder bore to forcing cone distance increases accuracy. These revolvers were a popular choice for IHMSA competitions, so that should tell you something. Â
