I just took possession toda October 27,2025 of a Model 15-2 that is probably 48-49 years old

Is it logical and  advisable to replace the springs? The gun appears to be in exellent condition

First, Welcome to the DWF!  Good to have you here. If the revolver functions correctly and the gap is set, then go shoot it first.  Then do a detailed strip and clean, using: The Average Joe method If there were any issues during the range session, new springs probably fix 75% of the problems.  They're always good to have on hand, so if you plan to keep the Dan- have a set on the bench.  Ron

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

I really appreciate the warm greetings-thank you

I will follow the suggestion about shooting the gun first.

Is CZ the best option for me to purchase the springs?

Good question. Wasn't there an aftermarket supplier that had "Improved" spring kits?

"Wolff" maybe?

I didn't know how to use it.”

Good lead for Wolff.

I have ordered replacement springs to have on hand

I used my Lyman gauge and got the following results:

DA- average of 10 pulls=8 lbs 5 ozs

SA-average of 5 pulls=1 lb 10 ozs

Very smooth

The Wolff trigger return spring is the single best thing you can do to improve the trigger pull. Do not use the 71/2 lb spring. Likely to get light strikes.
