Hunting is EXACTLY correct!  Now I'm torn: 357, 41, 44, 45, for hogs???  I may have to do a study on swine down-range feedback.  I'm thinking a 180-190gr. CB flat point, with a big meplat....

Well, got it home last night.  Seemed to be leaking a bit, so as w/ all new purchases, I had to see what she looked like inside.  5W? oil everywhere.  Seems the previous owner thought oil was a good thing.

Looks to be in fine working condition.  Need to use some wipe out in the throats and a cleaning session w/ the Outers Foul Out for the barrel.  Lots of copper residue and some lead, but all in all, not bad.

yep- very nice grip w/ the exception of the ding in the heel.  I may have to do some re-shaping into a round-butt because I really like the grain.

Hey Ron, you forgot to take off the rear sight.poke Just kidding! Big Grin

Man, you blew that thing apart BIG time! I still haven't taken a crane release lever, or the cylinder ball out of any of mine. Looks like it's in great shape, from what I can see.

Seems to have fairly low mileage, too.DWAS

Just a hint of flame cutting, barely visible from the side, is the only wear- and that's nothing.  It was holstered quite a bit and stord on its left side as that's where the bluing is worn.

Didn't want to take the rear sight off as it's not terribly wobbly yet.  SMs have a different hole placement than the large frames, otherwise I would have removed the sight and replaced w/ a OEM white outline I have laying around.

I hit the frame w/ some Flitz and now I'm cleaning and re-assembling.  Seems as though I have a few spare parts though...that always happens.

Just kidding.
