Got a new grip for my SM the other day. I like wood, don't know about shooting 445s w/ wood, YET.

I wondered the same with mine, thinking I'd probably need a Hogue grip to be able to hang onto this thing. Surprisingly, I prefer the slight slip that the factory grip affords between rounds. I usually only shoot my 7445 single action, to be able to compose myself between rounds.

I think there is a good reason the large frame revolvers have smooth grips. Â Checkering can be painful with big heavy recoil loads. Â

Last time out w/monogrip, I shot 2 rd 1 handed !! A little sore next day in palm !!
 Gonna try to talk PSMFG2 to bring his to our local indoor range and get 2 .445s going. He he he. I think he'll go for it 
 See how many shooters can hang or ð run out !!
 
 I'll let y'all know how it feels.
