Here is my first SuperMag in 357 maximum.  Seems to be in good shape. I haven't gotten inside it yet but will do that in the next couple of days.  It has a little holster wear but nothing to bad and the frame is a tad plumb colored.  I can't wait to fire this beast.  The Hogue grips are ok but it could really use some wood grips. Serial # is E001091 if any one has any insight into that number feel free to chime in.IMG_0351.JPGImage Enlarger

First a 15-2 and now a 40....you're starting to show symptoms!

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Dates on the Model 40 are a little sketchy, probably 1980 +/- ?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I don't know Ron. 15-2 to a Super? I'd say full blown incurable!

if you find one...what's your plan?

Nice SuperMag! Slight holster wear? Pretty big gun to be carrying in a belt holster, unless it was carried in an across the back type. You'll love shooting that thing, but keep the bullet weights at 170 grains or higher.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I have shot it and was amazed at how little recoil I felt.  Although its the heaviest handgun I have ever fired.  I got the ammo from Reed's. Some 180gr. stuff.  I am currently waiting for a 8" 744 VH with the original box, extra grip, sights and what looks like the paperwork to show up.  When I get it I will post some pictures after I clean all the drool off of it.drool

Sounds like dwas has infested another to the bone marrowlaughing

HERE'S another place to get GOOD SM ammo, a little less $$ than Reeds, But I am VERY pleased

w/ 445 rounds, [You'll be wanting a 445 next lol]. George is a great guy to deal with. I got him to lower price on 100rds !!

You WILL feel recoil w/a 445 !! range-time

Pete. Thanks for the link. I will check it out and as far as wanting a 445 I most certainly do!  I really enjoy shooting .44 mag. I can only imagine .445 Supermag.
