I just got this10" DW 44 yesterday. It looks like crap because the bluing is down to bare metal in several places, but I know a place that will re-coat the frame for $150. I paid $775 for the gun, so my total investment will be $925. I plan on getting a 4, 6 and 8" barrel for it and selling the 10".

Where did you plan on having your gun blued?
I just purchased a 44 mag with a 6VH barrel/shroud and was thinking about having the gun refinished.
I am thinking I want the blue luster finish. Then I will add some custom grips to finish it out.Â

There's a place called Guardian Custom Firearm Coating in Navarre, FL that is about 40 minutes from where I live(Pensacola). I called and he gave me an estimate of $150.00 for just the frame.

Yes, go to Fords. Good guys. Got a 4" shroud done. A one month turnaround. Also, keep the 10"! You'll miss it one day.
Gun looks sweet. Like an old Cadillac waiting for restoration. Please post pics of the after.
