Seems to be in great shape. 4 digit serial number and the extra barrel. Not sure if the papers go with it or if it was just something the guy had, but they say 1981.Â

44 maggies are very tame in the beefy DW! My favorite is 4in barrel and that's very manageable- the 8 in and 10 in barrels tame it all the more. Congrats!Â

Yes, 1981. The first 10,000 made in 1981 have the short hammer spur.

You may know this already, but be very careful using that "Plastic Craptastic" barrel nut tool.
Strongly urge getting the EWK one ASAP.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
