Just picked this up at LGS on consignment for $900
the 4â barrel does not have the usual roll mark and maybe nickelÂ
any idea on manufactureÂ

I am an absolute amateur, but that barrel looks like the ones currently for sale in the CZ shop. I donât know when the roll mark changed, but believe it was when CZ purchased DW? I could very well be wrong though.Â

I got lucky and was able to confidently discern my year because it happens to fall between submissions from two users (B02113X and B02443X), one with an original sales receipt and one who is the original owner.

The 4" could be a pre CZ Serva era BA.  But definately a Norwich laser engraved shroud. Tremendous deal at 900. I LOVE that unmounted grip. The other is very nice too. The ensemble deserves a real DW case.Â

What a steal. Check out Gunbroker and youâll see. I think those 744âs (without extra barrels and grips) go for like $1000+

I just paid the consignment asking price
thought it was a good dealâ¦.it was in the shop for couple weeks, fortunately DW is not as well know as S&W

Yep, there are still some sellers out there unfamiliar with DW's, but that number is shrinking daily it seems. Congrats on finding yours, it looks great! And I agree with Ole Dog, that unmounted grip looks very nice.
 Nice purchase, thatâs a deal for sure.
