Seems as though the forum activity is a bit slow lately and I was bored today so I took a few pics of #1.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Zoom,

I don't know about remaining unfired.  In believe it is unfired as there is no case mark around the firing pin on the frame. Maybe a couple of rounds just to see if it works..rofl.

It is shiny.....

Unfired? Why would they make an experimental gun in any caliber & not fire it? You'd think that if anything, that baby would have had a lot of HARD miles under it's belt.

I'm not trying to imply that I don't trust your judgement, as to it's condition...I merely don't understand why it would have so little use.Screwy And I'm not complaining either, because it might not be such a Drool to look at if it had a lot of hard miles on it.Big Grin

Not to hijack, but this one had been sitting in the gunshop for a week or two:

Probably #1 in the Alaska Guide Series? It was sitting there NIB in box, saying "Take me Home!"

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve, that's cool that you have a #1 also.  Great looking AG! Drool.

There must be some more #1's out there, ya think?

CF,

I asked the seller about the miles on the odometer and he said it was test fired a few times but there was no brass for it at the time, so I guess it's pretty well unfired. There is no wear on the frame around the firing pin / hand area.

The holy grail gun of DW. It's hard to look at without going blind. Simply beautiful and one of a kind. Enjoy that treasure.
