The velocities of 375-600 out of the cylinder are interesting as well. Nothing but the crimp if any to allow pressure to build. And the statement about leading the threads in the receiver. I would have thought that the bullet would have cleared the threads before becoming that unstable but I can imagine that the cylinder doesn't offer enough support to the projectile to create any servicable utility. Lucky guy had Dan Wesson on hand to offer what must have been pro bono gun smithing.
