Thought I would include some pictures of the different DW patches that have been available over the years (listed oldest to newest):

* If anyone has a better picture of the last one I would appreciate it if you would post it.

Thanks, Jody

Are the ones on Ebay new manufacture, or NOS? There's so many I have to believe that they're not originals.

Steve

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

The old style patches on eBay are originals and PRICEY.

I've yet to see an old style repro.

There is a couple out here in Victoria that buy and break up pistol pacs as part of their auction business (cjstoilis).  So the patches they sell are all (generally) originals.

The newer style patches vary from what I've seen.

Gotta git you a deal on some lizardskin boots, a buckle an a patch er two...you'll be stylin'...

About what year did Dan Wesson change the patch from the tilting W design to the left pointing pistol design?Confused

I suspect it could be in 1980 or possibly later as an early 1980 article on the 22LR shows the Tilting W logo on a photo of the 22LR Pistol Pac.

I thin you're right, around 1980 or so. We don't have any firm dates as of yet, but from what I've noticed, I thonk you're right.

BTW, on the subject of patches & other neat DW items, have you seen this thread yet?Smile
