I am thinking my next 1911 will be a Heirloom.
The 2023 models come in 38 Super ONLY, and I have never seen any 38 Super ammo on store shelves...(yes, online).  Another personal issue is the Left side is fully scrolled....(not and complaint per say, but bear with me)
The 2022 and older models have a a blank space between the left-side scroll work.  It leaves room for personal engraving/scroll work such as the family name, that might make is an actual "heirloom" for my son/grandson.   But, I only find them available in .45acp
Were any Heirlooms built in 9mm?  Not against having a .45, but a 9mm would be preferred.  Stocking either 38 Super or 45acp means another caliber of ammo to make room for in the locker.
Other option I am considering is the have my stainless 9mm Pointman engraved/scrolled, and polished.
Thoughts?

'20, '21, '22 are all .45 as well as the 50th Anniversary model.
There are some of these limited editions in nine.

I wouldn't fuss over the .38 Super cal. and go with it. It's a nice cartridge and it's no big deal to hold a couple boxes of ammo.Â
