Sadly, it may already be finished.

I hardly recognize this country from what it was 20 years ago. There has been so much transformation to this country in my lifetime, that I often feel astonished & need to pinch myself. When Barry pledged to "fundamentally transform America" in '08, he wasn't just spouting a usual candidate's blather, he made it happen! When Michelle said "for the first time, I'm proud of my country"...I'm sure she really was. Good for her. (expletive thoughts refrained)

For me, I'm ashamed of my country. Twenty years from now, this place may still be called America, but I fear it will be in name only.

You're right in that it will never be what it once was but, I am afraid we have only ourselves to blame.
I haven't kept close watch on how many of you are church folks but, things have gotten steadily worse as we have grown steadily further apart from God.
Numbers 14:18 The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:
That said, it don't look good for the home team right now with half the country on some form of welfare. As El Rushbo says, It's hard to defeat Santa Clause.

We need not look for a revival on a national scale, we need revival in our churches (and starting with a lot of the preachers); and then our nation needs a great awakening.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
If our country was what it once was, SHE would be in prison NOW. (any gop w/half of her dirt would be.) God is forgotten far to often. And FREE stuff prevails. A man who does not work should not EAT.

BUT, more scandals w/e-mail haunting queen H. What will be done and WHEN !!!

No offence CF, but 3rd party vote may guaranty DIMocrat victory. That scares me more than DJT.

But again. Just VOTE for the greatest nation in the world, while still some chance to take back our country. proud-to-be-an-american mad And pray.

Yeah, that's what they say. No offense taken. Honestly, I'm so frustrated at the pickle we are in & at the lame candidates we are expected to choose from. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't seem to repeat this cycle every stinkin' voting season, but it DOES! For me, it's getting a tad discouraging. However, sorry I'm a downer, I'll try to complain less.smile

so...let me remind everyone that no matter which way it goes, there are two more branches of government.  There are only two people in the Executive Branch and when it boils down to the facts, there is very little they can do alone.  It requires cooperation of the Legislative Branch and support of the Judicial Branch.  Both are much more important, IMO...

The question then becomes which POTUS can shape the USA into what you believe it 1. should be...or 2. should be again.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Lets also remember that she has spent years tolerating (enabling?) the sexual escapades of her husband, "standing by her man" while he repeatedly lied, and she has concealed and glossed over her role in the Benghazi attack.

And has everyone forgotten Whitewater?

Probably no Presidential hopeful in history could withstand the close scrutiny now possible, but why must we select from the least objectionable of two Political Prostitutes?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

That is how it's intended to run, however when we get some putz in there who decides to rule by executive fiat...with his "pen & phone", along with his favorite tool, the executive orderthen look what we end up with. Cankles will certainly take that lead & run with it! Trump? That one seems to sway either way the wind blows, who knows?

And as far as cooperation of the other two branches...yes, that's what the constitution says & intends, but that's not how business goes down lately! Nor has it for many years.

I honestly don't intend to be a turd in the punch bowl, but sadly, that's the way it is. So many outside (and inside) influences have their fingers manipulating the workings, that I fear this leviathon is beyond repair.

Honestly Steve, it blows me away that "Billary" (both of them) have been able to stay two steps ahead of the legal system for all these years. Having the media in their pockets  (bought & paid for) certainly helped...

Oh, I agree. If my Father & Grandparents were here today, I seriously doubt they would recognize much of this country. They may very well be spinning in their graves...I haven't checked. LOLlol2

With what has been happening the last 8 years, graveyards all over the country must look like hi-speed rotisseries.

Seeing those posters from 1997 bring some back bad memories. I lost 8 much loved firearms. Semi auto C/F's, 12g pump-action and semi-auto 22LR's, S&W 38 & 357, CZ 9mm list goes on, they also delighted in crushing them as we watched, anyway I got paid good money for them BUT went out and replaced them with B/A's etc...just as powerful. Very doubtful what was achieved apart from the taxpayer coughing up lot of money. Gun numbers stayed about the same and politicians felt good....... and knife crime went up go figure. Hang onto what you have.
