Last I checked, it was illegal to have a firearm in an establishment that predominately makes it's profit by selling alcohol.  First rule: Criminals (and terrorists) don't care about laws.

Secondly, even thought the FBI was familiar with the individual, they could not stop the attack.  I'd say this is a perfect example of the reason why safety is inherently an individual responsibility and another example of why we NEED to keep and bear arms...

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

In Ohio, according to CCW booklet I got w/application and laws dated 7-15. Unless posted, You can carry in liquor establishment as long as you are not consuming any alcohol or not under the influence.

Make no mistake, this may well be the incident that spells the beginning of the end for AR type rifles in the hands of law abiding American Citizens. The frenzy will focus on the capability of rifles of the AR type to fire multiple rounds and ignore other styles with the same capability. In CT AR's are proscribed, Mini 14's are not, although magazine capacity rules apply across the board.

My AR is registered with the State of Connecticut as required by a knee jerk reaction law after Sandy Hook. When the time comes that it will be confiscated, I will transfer ownership to my son, along with the standard capacity ("High Capacity") magazines that are also registered. If I am unable to do so, I will destroy the rifle and magazines and surrender a pile of scrap metal and plastic.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I also was in 3 watering holes yesterday on MC and had my BG38 w/me. I don't drink on MC. I also avoid " gun free zones"

I want to know how you (the shooter) can be on "radar" w/ FBI, talk to coworkers at a Fed.security job about ISIS and jihad ( who reported it) and buy these weapons leagally???

Obviously a total FAIL in the background check system. Proving again the current laws are not enforced properly and more laws will have 0.00 effect !!!!!

What about presure cookers , knives , forks, ball bearings, PVC pipe, etc?  I agree Steve , what if they want your DWs ?? Hope it don't come to that.

God help the survivors and families !

Largest mass shooting on US soil to date....So Far

I've been kinda busy, but verified that you are correct, sir. Glad I live in Oh.

ONE person inside the door w/ a gun and 49 people may still be alive, Sadly

I agree with mister callan, if it’s not now illegal to break the law, we should certainly pass a law to that effect. And if it is currently illegal then perhaps it is a law enforcement problem and we should support our LEO with stronger laws making it more illegal. We simply need to restrict terrorist actions with regulations that prohibit that which is restricted. Problem solved! This is common sense I can get behind.

According to Barry, it's all OUR fault.screwy I watched his "speech", but not in a usual way...I watched it on Levin TV, as Mark Levin broke down every stupid point Barry made & explained how screwy this guy is. That's about the only way I can stomach a Barry speech these days, is to have it broken up with doses of reality.lol2

Personally, I think Mark Levin is a semi nutcase, BUT that does not mean that he does not have commentary and viewpoints that I do not find interesting.

Now for the outrageous heresy (and I have have the "flame suit" on), I'm not automatically anti Obama on everything. For example, the attempt to have effective Health Care in place for every American is important.

Unfortunately effective Health Care is a pretty broad description, but there needs to be a Health Care safety net for American citizens and LEGAL immigrants.

My wife is a nurse in a hospital based health care group, the stories she could share about both the people who abuse the system and those that fall through the cracks in the system would terrify you.

Not surprising that some people are pretty happy with their Health Care, and MANY people are pissed off.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

My wife is an unfortunate patient, who has been fighting the sys. since '02, had "non malignant" tumor removed

from acoustic nerve in her brain and has been neglected/abused since. The CRIMINAL activities that go on in

World Renowned Hospitals [just in N.E. Oh.] is mind boggling. I can't begin to start, but Wife has all documented.

The blatant theft, from US tax payers through SSI, Medicare etc. not to mention ins. co. Procedures charged for and

not done. Overpriced meds ,prescribed and not given to patient, on and on . If Hosp. were fined, prosecuted and had to

pay back what they steal. Just in OH., would pay the Nat. debt.

Obama Care made it all worse[for her], Has needed Gall bladder removed for 2 years, they have a Roladex of excuses,

about a year ago, they said it was already removed [and payed for] a week later mri showed it "must have grew back"

I'll stop now madscrewyslap Been 14 yrs. of HELL for us both.
