That is pretty cool Bruce... I didn't think Michigan was that clear though. Never was the times I been on it anyway..

This particular stretch of Lake Michigan is offshore from Sleeping Bear Dunes, very little in the way of industrialization and no big cities, etc. The article also noted that the water conditions were remarkably clear that day
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Especially this time of year with the melt and before the summer storms stirring everything up.
I do have to say, having grown up in, on, over, under and around the Great Lakes they are what I consider to be examples of SANE recovery and management. Three groups who had not much in common... big business, big government and big econuts... figured out how to work out some solutions. I remember when the Great Lakes were in real trouble......
