I am thinking about purchasing a dan wesson pre cz 1911 Pointman Guardian PMG-AS. It has the serial number 00032 on it and is really nice shape. The guy wants $1000 but I can't find any info on what its worth. Any help would be great.

I'm not up on the Guardian model. I believe it's a short barrel gun with a round butt grip...sounds like a great carry gun to me.
Is the "S" in that model number stainless?
If so, I would think it's probably worth the seller's asking price. The DW 1911 is a really nice...no...excellent gun, I've discovered.

Check out the 1911 Forum there is a Dan Wesson section, you can get a pretty good response on a what this is worth. I think 1000.00 is a bit high, I have several Pre-CZ 1911 models and think they a very good value for the money. This one I don't have.

$1000+ is pretty much the going rate for any DW 1911. I have a PM 1-S from that same era that is awesomely accurate
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
