This morning I received my daily email from a gun source on line and found that there was a couple brand new in box CBOB's for sale.
I got one of them coming to me as soon as I get the payment out to the seller. He said he had one more left besides the one coming to me. He had a total of 6, and had an order for 6 more if he could get them from the factory.
I did not believe it at first, but it is the Dan Wesson Commander Classic Stainless Steel Bobtail model.
After putting the request in on email, I decided to call him in Idaho just to make sure he had them in stock. He had just walked in his shop and did not yet turn on the computer to see my purchase request yet. After we chatted for a while, he told me that the gun was mine and not to worry about it. He will ship it as soon as payment reaches him.
I contacted my local gun shop, and he emailed his FFL to Idaho. That portion is all taken care of. I could have had the gun shipped right away if it weren't for today being a bank holiday.
I guess I will have to wait about a week now before I can get the payment out and gun in hand!

Great News! If they're not being made anymore, the prices will only go up.

Well, the check went in the mail this morning. Just need to wait now for the CBOB to reach my dealer so I can pick it up. I spoke with te dealer of the CBOB this afternoon on the phone to let him know payment is on it's way, and he informed me that he still has two of the DW Classic Bobtails left that are not spoken for. If anyone is interested, you can PM me or email I guess. I do not want to violate any rules on here and will not say where it came from unless the admin. says it's okay to do so!

If you want to put it up on For Sale or Trade, that would be fine. One of the things we do is help each other hook up on good stuff. On behalf of the Admin, it will be fine, if he didn't already have a CBOB, he'd probably be one of the first in on one

I tired to enter the information in classifieds, but it did not work out at all.
I will be happy to give the info to anyone that is interested. I have no dealings with this guy other then getting my CBOB. Just trying to pass the information out there if anyone was interested.

I just received an email a few minutes ago telling me that my new CBOB has been shipped this afternoon. Got the tracking number so I can keep an eye on it for when it hits my dealer.
It won't be long now!!
