This story illustrates the fallacy that deadly force isn't needed against unarmed nut jobs. They tried fighting off the nut job & he kept attacking family members, punching the wife repeatedly in the face. I can't understand the mentality that views a struggle against a criminal as some kind of sporting event that should be a fair fight. It's beyond absurd.

The guy kicked in the door and literally started pummeling this man's family. I'm kinda surprised he wasn't shot more...instantly. I don't claim to understand TX laws but this seems very ok to blast that fool.
I'm sure there's some bible verse about a sword and selling your cloth if you lack one. Good job pastor.

The one thing about this news article that I don't much like is the reference to "Pastor". What possible difference would there be if the Home Defender is a pastor, teacher, doctor, carpenter...? just another news story trying to be sensational!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
