Can you please give me a value on a Dan Wesson 715 V. I understand it was produced around 1991. I have the six inch barrel and a 4 inch barrel. Two set of grips the wood and rubber. IMG_2008.JPGImage Enlarger

I tend to go a little low on DW selling prices, I'd say $600. When you say "rubber grip" the Houge grip and Pachmayr Presentation grips are "give away" items, not much value there. The Pachmayr Gripper is an automatic $50 extra.

That looks like a pretty nice, clean 715

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

The original box is a definite plus for value. The barrel tool looks small for a 357. Could it be a 22? Would probably still work if you are careful, but you should get a metal one from EWK (see ad on the right side of screen). The plastic ones can break and by now they are old and possibly brittle. Better to save them for originality and future sale to a collector.big-grin

Looks to be in fine condition. In my neck of the woods you could expect closer to $800. Prices vary greatly around the country.

Snake-eye is close. If you were selling it you would get more if you sold the extra barrel assembly separately.  50 to 100 more.

Just had to say, seeing your 715 reminds me of the first time I bought my first 715 DW...and it was around 1991, I think I paid 350.00 ish. Very NICE!

I'm with snake-eye and ole dog.  Around 800 in the Southwest with wood grip in excellent condition.  Extra 250 on the 2nd barrel sold separately.

Hello tlbgto , You may not get that much. Most of the 715 guns that start with 357 in the serial number do not have recessed cylinders. This lowers the perceived value quite a bit on the auction sites. Does yours ?

Shoot it and enjoy it !

I'm not sure that the recessed cylinders ever made it into the Stainless era. BUT there is much that is not known about stuff like this.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I posted the picture above. Is that a recessed cylinder. It sure is different from my Smiths.

It also looks like it has Pachmayr Gripper grips also. So those are worth more money? Guess I need to clean them up. IMG_2093.JPGImage Enlarger
