I just bought my 2nd L'il Dan. What intrigued me (other than being a Dan Wesson) was the 1st one I got had the WFC emblem on the left side of the frame but the 2nd one did not. Any rhyme or reason for this? Was this an internal/in-process change? Or do I have one that missed a process? Both have boxes and wrenches, box numbers match the gun. I'm so excited. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just a guess, but I'll bet someone polished out the gun and removed the logo. Every 738 I've owned or seen has had the logo marked on the gun, so I doubt that was factory, especially since that serial number is bracketed by guns I've owned or own that all had the insignia.
BTW nice score on that one, I was watching it. It certainly took off at the end.

Most 738s have the logo on the side. I have been able to find a couple of these nice little guns without the marking. I prefer the " clean" non- badged look. They have a good balance and point very instinctively. Wonderful triggers too.
With the optional factory bobbed hammer they make great CCW.

My Lil' Dan doesn't have the logo. It's currently about 75 miles away, I'll try to remember to get the s/n next time I have it in hand. Jody has one with the logo...or maybe "had", he may have sold it a while back, I forget.
*edit* Here are a couple threads showing no logo 738's...
And one with the logo... LINK
