There's two or three grip styles that use the "W" medallions, here's one of them.
I believe these grips were used during the transition period between the Porkchop style & the 15-2...around the 1975-1977 range. Most, if not all, of the ones I've seen appear to have been on the "powerwood"(plastic) grips, the wood grips of the period were usually without medallions.
Just my opinion as of today. If anyone else has more info on these, we can all learn from the shared info.
