Does anyone know if Dan Wesson ever made two toned revolvers? I purchased this 17XXX .22 used with no box or papers about 30-years ago. It had the satin hard chrome finish shown here on the cylinder, latch and ejector rod. The 8-inch barrel shroud was also chromed, but the finish is much rougher than on the other components. It seems like a professionally applied finish but I've always assumed it was done after the fact. It has held up to 30-years of use with no wear marks at all. I've been thinking about sending it to Norwich for new blued components but don't want to do that if by chance the gun was made this way. Any ideas?
