A friend had a Corvair that wouldn't make it up a hill if it had 4 people in it. We'd have to get out and push it up the hill.

OK, we're so far off topic it's crazy, but I actually installed a special intake manifold, two bbl carb, and exhaust header on my Vega, along with Cragar chrome 4 spoke mags.
Talk about trying to polish a turd!
Somewhere I have a picture of the "Torvair", a Corvair that has had the Olds Toronado engine and drivetrain retrofitted to help it get up hills.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
