OfflineHey all!
I just got done cleaning and oiling my .357 after a nice 500 round range trip, and noticed I had left the gap a bit too wide when putting the barrel back on. Soo.... I went to take off the nut and kinda sorta.... STRIPPED IT BAD!

It woln't budge a bit, and to make things worse i see a very nicely stripped nut!
Any advice on how to get it off of my shroud ?
Thanks ~ Mike

OfflineThat threaded rod method works great. Me and my dad did it to my 744 over the weekend. Not from a stripped nut but from a ported barrel that had never been cleaned by a previous owner. the threaded rod did the trick no problem. just tighten the nuts very tight and it will work. We put some plastic tubing over the thread rod to prevent barrel damage. The tubing gripped the whole barrel and I dont think it would have come off it not for the tubing. You probably wont need that just some tape over the thread. good luck.
