my 357 revolver only reads .......Wesson firearms ....palmer mass. on the side.....is this still a Dan Wesson

Yes it is.  The Dan Wesson company suffered financial difficulties for many years and after a reorganization they became known as Wesson Arms.  The guns were made the same as previous guns and all parts interchange, only the name changed due to legalities.
