As I've mentioned before I'm the proud owner of a DW 44mag. I have been told that 44 and 44 special calibers can also be used as long as I spend a little extra time making sure I clean well after I shoot. Any advice about this? Has anyone else tried this?

I have a 744 that I shoot both 44 Special and Mags in and have not had any problem. The issue (or possible) issue is the build-up of a carbon ring from shooting the shorter specials. If you clean your gun regularly this will not become an issue. If it does become an issue you just have to get in there and clean.
