Looking at a model 715 that a strange mark at the end of the serial number. Serial number RV1000*** and then has what looks like a upside down Y stamped after the serial number. Haven't seen this before, refurbished? Any help is appreciated.

That is a factory mark designating a "blem" gun. It means that their Quality Control found something wrong, often just a mark in the finish that caused them to sell the gun cheaper than MSRP. There is probably nothing wrong with the functioning of the gun or they would not have sold it.

Yep, nothing wrong with function-ability just a cosmetic flaw, usually they are not all that noticeable. On the 1911's there used to be a pic of the gun with the area of the blem circled that came with the gun. And even then it is hard to see them on the pistol sometimes!!!
