The first issue stamp was put on the first run of revolvers that were made in the Norwich plant. Bob Serva owned the company at the time. The 93 is the 93rd 744 that came off of the line since production resumed.I'm not sure how many of each model were stamped this way. Others here will probably chime in with more info. I have a Norwich produced 744VH8 which is stamped that way. It is #60. I bought it new, as soon as I heard they were available. Great revolver!
