I think with CZ buying Colt last year, the writing was on the wall for the 715. Now they'll concentrate on a few models per brand; I can see the Python continuing and the Dan Wesson 1911s will be the focus for the brand.

Not that it's any consolation but I think they at least will at least do some 'special editions' down the road. And there's a chance they will bring back the 715 once they get Colt running like it should.

I would be surprised if any more Dans are produced unless it is a polymer framed version or something small and concealable. Any new Revolvers would probably be called Colt. Dan Wesson technology is already being used by most current revolver makers. Front lockup, barrel and sleeve, transfer bar, interchangable front sights, coiled mainspring, drop in parts and more. But my nickname is Often Wrong Ron.

Glad I got one! I got SN#727 in a Pack with 4, 6, and 8 inch barrels. Bought it brand new four years ago for $1700. Prices are through the roof on this pack now!
