OfflineHey guys a fella talked me in to buying a dan earlier this year and I am glad I did, Its a very fun little pistola. I have a 15-2 with both 4 and 8 inch barrels. With the 4 inch barrel I am...not so good but with the 8 inch and I do my part I have shot 1.25 inch groups at 25 yds (handload)
.
Question is I notice my primer strikes "off center" teh cylinder seems to lock up fine and I have cleaned my insides and tighted the side plates, but still it strike off center.
It seems to shoot good so I dont think it is timing (not positive though) and maybe a bent fireing pin?
Any thoughts?

OfflineMy brother's model 15, Monson that he bought NIB used to strike the primers just above center, if this is what your's is doing, it's within tolerances as long as timing and lockup are good, at least that is what the smith from the Monson factory told my brother many years ago.

, and welcome to the forum. I'm not smart enough to venture a guess on the off center strikes. As long as it is firing, I'd be tempted to have a smith check it just to be sure and then keep on firing as long as he says it is safe.
