I am really struggling with the serial number posts here. Yes, I am new so, I'll take my lumps if I need to. My DW 357 has a serial number as follows: 136494. What am I looking at? NO other markings available on the gun, no vent rib, adjustable sight and, my grip logo is "DWA". Please help me figure out my firearm. By the way, I am unable to post pics here.... I guess its a newbie thing. Thanks in advance,

Chris

Welcome to the Dan Wesson place on the net.  Try this link. https://www.danwessonforum.com/wp-content/files/DanWessonSerialNumbers.pdf   Scroll down to page 6 and find a number close to yours.  To me it looks like your gun was made in 1978.

BTW you have a 15-2

Thank you so much Scorpio! Could you further shed light on why my serial number is different? May this be attributed to the manufacture date?

Disregard my last question.... the link provided shows that my number is not so different. Thanks!

Well, you do want a different serial number (from anyone else), that's for sure!poke (that's a poke, meaning I'm poking you, like a joke).

Welcome to the dwf.  No dumb questions here, but occasionally there is a smart-@ss answer (from me probably LOL).
