I'm a new DW owner. Seems to be in great shape. I plan on using it for metallic silhouettes next year. One question for you guys. The barrel shroud has a tiny bit of side to side play. Zero movement parallel with the barrel. Is this normal?

Once the shroud lines up with the pin in the frame and barrel nut is tightened hand tight it should have no play.

Thanks for the welcome and the guidance. I ordered a barrel wrench and barrel nut from our forum sponsor. Hopefully that will set me right.

Should not have any play. Sounds like the barrel nut isn't tight enough. Also check for the presence of the roll pin on the frame, sometimes they come out and get lost.

I received my barrel wrench from EWK and tightened the barrel nut. Now zero play in the barrel shroud. Can't wait to shoot it. Got a 240 gr Hornady XTP over 23.5 gr of h110 that should be fun.
