I have a 15-2 with a millet rear sight on it. The elevation screw has been almost stripped. Is there anyway one could get a replacement screw without having to buy another whole rear sight assembly?

Check with the local hardware folks or Fastenal store to see if you can match it to a machine screw. Maybe someone here already knows the size/ pitch?

It should be a 6-48 size. A gunsmith should have a good selection of screws to choose from.
A DW sight screw would fit. The only drawback might be that the DW screw does not have the same head design as the Millet. The DW screw does not have the little nub that engages the slots on the inside of the sight screw hole in order to make a non-slip adjustment setup. I do have DW screws for sale and I can send you one on approval to find out if it's acceptable. PM me if you are interested.
