I have a loose rear sight on a model 14. It is the windage piece of the sight. Is there a way to tighten it?

Model 14 is fixed sight you must have a 15 of some sort pics and we can help I am sure! does it look like the one below?

yes you are right, it is a mod 15. I was comparing it to models in standard catalogue of firearms, and did not go far enough back. Thanks. Also, with the loose sight, I can not turn the windage adjustment. Is there some "trick" like needing to do something to the other side (L) of the windage screw?

Thanks guys for the help. Another ?? , what replacement site would you recommend and where can I find one. The site can be after market. I just want to get this dude back on the firing line. I have had it since '84!!

That's a rough one! Milet has made them though don't think they are listed any more! Ebay or Gunbroker have had them up. It is said that some of the ruger revolver sites will fit! Hopefully someone can add to this and help out!

I believe Ruger Blackhawk rear will work, it's on DWF somewhere

Ruger blackhawk sights do fit small frame DW's. I put one on my 722. The only issue some might have is that the ruger emblem is on the sight base.
Midway had them. Out of stock now but not a bad price.
