I am interested in buying a accurate revolver. Dan Wesson showed up in my neighborhood.

I suspect it's a model 15 HV8, probably early production, because it has a five-digit number.

The seller said that the gun is in perfect condition

The price is 670 euros.

Is the grip original?

Is the rear sight adjustable?

What should be included with the revolver? I know that there is only one barrel and that there is no key to dismantle it.

Please tell me as much as possible about the weapon you can see in the photos and is it worth the price?

Photos are from the auction site

Welcome to the forum! Yes it looks to be an adjustable rear so it is a 15. I would say in the present market it is more than fair on the price

Welcome to the forum!  I agree with 605Dart, adjustable rear sight so it’s a model 15.  Looks like an original grip.
Exchange rate today is 1.11 USD per euro, so it’s $743.70 USD price.  In today’s market, I’d jump on it.

yeah $750 is a good price in my opinion for that condition. I think Guns dot com has one cheaper, but a shorter barrel and maybe not as good of shape. hard to tell from the dark pictures. Also not sure buy guessing you are not in the USA, and Not sure is guns dot com ships out side the USA.

never mind they sold the one I was thinking about. it was like $650 they had it a week or 2 ago...

EWK makes a very good barrel tool. EBay always gave some for sale. If you can't buy from eBay, or get it shipped, you can make one out of an appropriate size socket from a socket wrench. And you can use the wrench to tighten and unscrew. If you use a torque wrench you can discover the optimum tightness for best accuracy.

Hi, Thank you for the information and warm welcome.

I bought a revolver with my heart before I saw it live. I think it looks pretty good, but most of all I like it a lot.

Here are a few photos taken by me, it's hard to make better because the blueing shines

I have a question, on the left side of the revolver there are marks seen in the last photo, one is an eagle and under it the letter N and the number 76 and antlers, it is that mean something?

Looks to me like something that would be done by customs when imported to another country.

1976 Tested at Ulm (West) Germany (antlers used since 1952) and the eagle with the N is definitive Nitro proof for all guns.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. Looking at the serial number, I thought the revolver was from 1977, but it turns out that it must be at least 1976. I am very pleased with the explanation and thank you again for your help.

Might have been made in 1975. 15-2s started with serial number 50,000. The first ones were made in 1974 I believe.

Wow Ron, that's some deep knowledge right there.  Thanks for sharing that, I learned something today!

Which Ron Scorpio? Lol. Most of what I learned is from the forum. It seems a lot of info has been lost over the years😔. Good thing if I read it I tend to remember it. If you tell me it, it goes in one ear and out the other. Just ask my wife. 🙄
