This is a good idea!
Because the expanded pin may want to wobble a bit in the hole, I'd slap the shroud on before the Loctite hardens, just to make sure the roll pin sets in the correct position.

... Turns out the generous bevel on the hole caused an optical illusion, making it appear larger than it was....
I swung by the local ACE with the DW and found the correct pin in the drawer. Perfect fit in both the frame and shroud.
