LB, I can sympathize with you! It seems impossible to escape the disease, it sneaks back up on you once in a while.
I keep calling them 'investments' it helps a little.
Edit; hey LB I just realized what that is! congratulations no self respecting Dan Wesson fan could pass that up! A local acquisition?

Sort of local. A out of town service tech who comes through about once a year told me he had it about two years ago but I could not talk him out of it then. Today he just drops in and had it with him, well I think we both left happy. I really did not need to spend any funds right now, but 722 mags don't drop by very often and I am confident "I could flip it for at least double for what I gave for it" at least I keep telling myself that.

I am curious what kind of grip you will put on it ????
The factory grip is in good shape and I seriously am considering putting the grip up for sale seeing what they have been bringing lately. (silly money) But I just don't know where I could find a nice grip for it then. So I guess I will hang on to it.

I recently had to fight off the urge to buy a nearly perfect 722 6VH that was for sale locally. I've always wanted one, but it's tax time, and I wasn't sure how much I was going to have to shell out, so I passed. Good thing I did, what I need to pay is almost exactly what the gun would have cost me ($600, including an extra barrel tube and some internal spare parts), and I'm not wanting to have to do any credit card action, especially to pay income tax! Besides that, I have to come up with the $500 deductible to fix my car next month too. I can only hope maybe he will still have it in May..
